The new Oleum del Molino organic oil was tasted by international oil experts at the BioFach 2012 Fair in Germany. They awarded it as one of the world’s top ten organic oils.

BioFach is the largest European fair for organic products and probably also the largest and most accredited in the international organic products sector. It has been held every year for the last 23 years in Nuremberg in mid-February. This year’s edition brought together 2,544 exhibitors representing 86 countries in an exhibition complex spanning 44,587 m2.

BioFach offers an international view on organic products, from production and certification to transformation and commercialisation.

In its capacity as world leader of organic products, BioFach ranks the 10 highest-quality products presented in each of the different food divisions of the fair every year. The awards are given after the products have been tasted and scrutinised by an anonymous jury of experts and scientists specialised in each product.

This is the first organic oil produced by Aceites Valderrama. It is an extra virgin olive oil of the Hojiblanca variety harvested through certified organic cultivation methods at Valderrama’s mills in Montilla (Cordoba).

Oleum del Molino shall coexist commercially with the normal range of Valderrama’s extra virgin monovarietal oils (Arbequina, Picudo, Hojiblanca, Ocal, Cornicabra) and gourmet quality blends (Gran Cru, chef Karlos Arguiñano’s endorsed range, truffle-infused, etc.) and, just like all of these, its aromatic subtlety and mild taste make it stand out.
